Chris Ruth’s Environmental Leadership
As an environmental leader in the St. Louis region and across Missouri, Chris Ruth has demonstrated impactful leadership as both a professional and deeply engaged volunteer. Chris has actively promoted and advanced sustainability as a board member for Missouri Gateway Green Building Council and through Integrated Facility Services’ participation in the St. Louis Green Business Challenge. He has expanded the impact of green building through vital collaborations, such as with Building Energy Exchange St. Louis (BE-Ex STL) for initiatives like the Remote Energy Audit, and through outreach and engagement with other professional organizations in the region such as AIA and ASHRAE, to name a few. Inspiring action, Chris initiated the Green Team at IFS, mentored numerous schools through the Green Schools Quest, and regularly contributes to articles and podcasts on green building topics. Innovative solutions include implementing energy-saving measures in challenging building automation projects and spearheading the rebranding of USGBC – Missouri Gateway Chapter to Missouri Gateway Green Building Council, reflecting his commitment to advancing environmental initiatives.
