Even if you don’t have your “ear to the ground” when it comes to ESG or Environmental-Social-Governance reporting, you are still likely to have heard about it. Maybe what you’re hearing is a low hum or something in the background – or maybe it is a hubbub of activity in your world related to ESG. Either way, it is a concept that is here to stay.

ESG is a framework to assess an organization’s business practices and performance on various sustainability and ethical issues, providing a way to measure business risks and opportunities in those areas. We’re basically talking about corporate responsibility – how can companies positively impact their employees, society and the environment? ESG covers a lot of ground – from financial transparency and employee satisfaction to protecting human rights and reducing carbon footprints.
