Congratulations to long-time member and sustainability sage Jean Ponzi of Missouri Botanical Garden on being recognized with the Gateway Lifetime Public Service Award by East-West Gateway as part of their annual Outstanding Local Government Achievement (OLGA) awards!
Jean has been a passionate advocate for sustainability and environmental change maker in the region for over 30 years. As the Green Resources Manager for the Missouri Botanical Gardens’ EarthWays Center, she has been the region’s go-to resource on sustainability, connecting St. Louisans to information and resources that help them work and live more sustainably. The award recognizes her years of service educating and supporting public and private entities in the best interest of conserving and sustaining our environment. Jean’s dedication and impact have been recognized with two other awards this year – the Lewis C. Green Environmental Service Award from Great Rivers Environmental Law Center and the Native Plant Ambassador Award from Grow Native! We are so proud to have you as a member, Jean!
