We are excited to welcome David Charles, Business Development Executive at Built Solutions, and Lisa Reed, Principal and CEO at Reed Burkett Lighting Design, to the Missouri Gateway Green Building Council board of directors starting in 2026. The picture above is from our board orientation held earlier this week!

David and Lisa have been members and involved with MGGBC for years. Lisa has been a member since 2013 and serves on the Engagement & Outreach Committee, which she also previously chaired. David has been a member since 2021. He is currently the chair of the Education Committee.

Coincidentally, Lisa and David were both recently featured on Graybar’s “Keepin’ the Lights On” podcast.

On October 22, Lisa talked about “Ten Surprising Things that Impact Your Lighting.” In this conversation, Lisa talks about the importance of collaboration among design professionals and the need for lighting to be considered early in the design process. The discussion covers how different materials, surfaces, and user needs impact lighting design, as well as future trends in the industry that focus on health and well-being.

On November 19, David talked about “Being Yourself Sooner.” In this conversation, David shares his journey of overcoming shyness, building connections, and navigating career changes. He discusses the importance of networking, mentorship, and authenticity in personal and professional growth as well as his passion for content creation and how it has expanded his professional network.

Congrats to David and Lisa on joining the MGGBC board and on these awesome podcasts. We’re so glad they are active members and volunteers who are willing to share their green building passion and expertise with us!

Join us in celebrating David and Lisa.
