Exceeding ESG Commitments with LEED for Communities

In this webinar, developers and consultants offer insights into how they utilize LEED for Communities rating system to support their own and clients’ ESG priorities and climate commitments. They provide examples of successful ESG reporting and continuous improvements using LEED for Communities, clearly demonstrating how to expand the benefits of using this tool by linking it to the performance of environmental and social aspects.

The LEED for Communities rating system offers a credible framework for corporations, developers, real estate companies and investors to navigate complexities of ESG issues, make improvements, and support decisions. It requires district, neighborhood and community scale projects to report on energy, emissions, water, waste, transportation, social equity, and quality of life within performance prerequisites.

In this webinar, developers clearly outline how their organization established a concrete sustainability strategy, then structured and aligned actions, initiatives, challenges, and commitments. That strategy allowed them to understand the needs and expectations of all of their stakeholders, including the communities they serve. Utilizing the LEED for Communities rating system, they were able to validate their sustainability priorities and embrace new strategies and technologies to accomplish commitments to comprehensive sustainability.
