First Friday Webinars – Implementing LEED v5 Operations + Maintenance Worldwide

April 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

USGBC will once again offer First Friday Webinars in 2025 – but this year with a twist! We’ll still gather online over midday on the First Friday of each month for leading-edge education, but in 2025, we’ll alternate live education sessions with highly rated, previously recorded sessions from past USGBC programming. Gather with peers and colleagues at noon Central Time on first Friday of each month to earn those CEs!

These courses are available for anyone to attend, but are free to local or company USGBC members. That includes Missouri Gateway Green Building Council members!

Access the webinar registration and code here. You will be prompted to login to access the code. Once you enter your login details, it will take you to your Member Dashboard. From there, click Member Only Benefits from the left-hand side menu to view the list of benefits and access code for the First Friday Webinars. You can use the code to register for one or more of the first Friday webinars. Questions? Reach out to your MO Gateway Green Building Council staff at info@mogreenbuildings.org.

April 4 | Implementing LEED v5 Operations + Maintenance Worldwide

This session is for those that want to know about the what, why and how of LEED v5 O+M: Existing Buildings. We will share how we arrived at the current version of LEED v5 O+M, why project teams will want to pursue LEED O+M v5 and how the rating system has international applicability. Our panelists, Existing Buildings Consensus Committee members, will lead attendees through the rating system highlighting lessons learned from Public Comment and the beta program, a program where dozens of projects implemented a draft version of LEED v5 O+M over the past year. Panelists will share how the rating system will promote project teams to decarbonize, embrace social equity, plan for a resilient future and provide a healthy indoor environment.

These international presenters will share how performance metrics are staying at the core of the rating system, how the rating systems continues encouraging a scaled impact as well as alignment with global reporting standards. Learn about the state of decarbonization and why it is so important to educate the market on elements of a good, long-term decarbonization plans.

Participants will gain firsthand knowledge of practical international implementation strategies when meeting the imperatives of LEED v5 on a variety of project types and the global green building community. The session will provide an update on the direction of LEEDv5 O+M, recertification and the various resources that will be made available for the formal launch in early 2025.
